Do I need to be flexible or fit to start Pilates?
No. Pilates helps you become more flexible and strong. Modifications are available for all levels.
How often should I do Pilates to see results?
2–3 times per week is ideal for noticeable changes in strength, posture, and tone. Consistency matters more than frequency at first.
What's more beginner friendly — Mat or Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is more beginner friendly because it is resistance based whereas Mat Pilates is strictly your body weight.
Are the classes different experience levels?
We welcome all levels, beginner to advanced. Classes are customized to be as hard or easy based on your needs.
Are classes beginner friendly?
Yes! At Kinetic House Pilates everybody is welcome — from beginner to advanced. Each class meets you where you are.
What’s the difference between Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates?
Mat is bodyweight-focused on the floor. Reformer uses a spring-loaded machine for resistance and support. Many people find Reformer more supportive for beginners.
Are the classes different experience levels?
The classes “meet you where you are.” Everybody is welcome, all levels beginner to advanced. They are customized to be as hard or easy based on your needs.
Is child care provided?
Yes. Child care is available for children 6 months - 12 years of age. Members receive free child care for one child per session. For others the cost is $5 per child, per session.
What is a reformer?
A reformer is a specialized Pilates machine that uses spring-based resistance and a sliding carriage to create a low-impact, full-body workout. It’s designed to build strength, enhance flexibility, and promote precise, intentional movement.
What do I need to bring to class?
For reformer classes, grippy socks are required. We have some available for purchase. We provide mats, but you are welcome to bring your own. You may want to bring a towel as well.
